CONSTRUCTION

Built with Integrity

Every Whitepointer is built with integrity. We take pride in doing things right—even when nobody’s watching.

Refined, Not Reinvented

John Haines Sr’s fundamental hull shapes remain, but construction techniques have evolved. Timber transoms are gone, replaced by more than 40 layers of bulletproof fibreglass, laid over four days and rated to 800HP by naval architect Paul Bury.

Solid Glass, No Compromises

Fuel tanks are glassed in, flow-coated, and foamed between the stringers. Floors, stringers, and transoms are all glass—no timber, no Thermo-Lite.

Locked-In Strength Below the Floor

The box-section stringer system is bonded with laminate equal in thickness to the stringers, locking the structure as one. Everything under the floor is foam-filled, including the box section, per survey standards.

Craftsmanship in Every Layer

Builder Dave says: “Every step—measuring, cutting, mixing, laying—is slow but vital. We use a blend of rovings, biaxial, chop strand and woven materials, plus fillers, gelcoats, flecks and flowcoats.”

Built to Outlast Generations

There are no flogged-out Whitepointers on Gumtree. These boats are built tough—possibly overbuilt—to outlast generations.
