A former cabinetmaker and carpenter, Dave has always had a passion for boats and crafting high-quality Australian products. So when the opportunity arose to take the helm at Whitepointer Boats, he jumped at it. Dave has long admired the brand and is committed to upholding the same integrity and craftsmanship in every boat that leaves the workshop.

While the iconic Whitepointer DNA remains unchanged, Dave is introducing thoughtful refinements—enhanced fishing features, more customisation options, and, in time, a revitalised 243 mould.

“Our boats are heavy, beamy, stable, and powerful—like the hot rods of the ocean,” says Dave. “You can’t have everything in one boat, but ours strike the perfect balance between ride, stability, and performance.”

Growing up fishing in Westernport Bay, Victoria, Trent spent countless hours chasing snapper, whiting, and squid. His most memorable catch? A 9kg red while fishing for gummy sharks.

Coming from a background in the building industry, Trent’s passion for boats led him to strip and rebuild his own Haines Hunter V19R—with guidance from seasoned boat builder Mick Taranto. He names Midnite Gambler as the best trailer boat he’s ever been aboard and brings that same pride and precision to every Whitepointer build.

“Each hull is painstakingly constructed, layer by layer,” he explains. “The result is an incredibly strong structure—arguably the toughest Australian boat you can own.”

Brendon (AKA Wally) has been a key part of Whitepointer Boats for over 15 years. Friendly, steady, and resourceful, he even built his own trailer for cleaning boat ramps below the low-tide line.

He’s a boat nut, too—with a 34ft Mustang, inflatables, jet boats, a custom airboat, and more (we’ll stop there so he stays out of trouble at home).
